This Privacy Policy applies to METEGOL websites, mobile applications, communications, and related services in the United States and Colombia. The entities may exchange data as affiliates when necessary to provide, secure, support, and administer the service. The country of the venue determines the operating entity for a booking, while your residence may give you additional privacy rights.

3. Sources of Personal Data

We collect data directly from you; automatically from your browser, device, and use of METEGOL; from authentication providers you choose; from venues and authorized venue staff when they create or administer a booking or provide service information; from payment processors and financial institutions through transaction status and reference data; from messaging, maps, analytics, fraud-prevention, identity-verification, and compliance providers; and from public or legally authorized sources when needed to verify a venue, representative, or legal obligation. We do not use a third-party source in a way that overrides rights provided by applicable law.
N°/04

4. How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to create and secure accounts; verify age, identity, contact details, and authority; display profiles and requested content; find venues and show relevant availability; create, confirm, administer, and support bookings; process and reconcile payment status, refunds, and disputes; send transactional and security communications; provide support; operate chat, reviews, reports, and moderation; detect fraud, abuse, prohibited conduct, and technical incidents; maintain, analyze, test, and improve METEGOL; personalize language, location, and service settings; comply with tax, accounting, consumer, privacy, sanctions, anti-fraud, and other legal obligations; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and send optional marketing only when permitted and after any consent required by law.
N°/05

5. Legal Bases and Consent

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal data to perform a contract or take requested pre-contract steps; comply with legal obligations; protect users, METEGOL, and others from fraud, abuse, or security threats; pursue legitimate operational, safety, support, and improvement interests when those interests are not overridden by your rights; and with consent. In Colombia, METEGOL S.A.S. requests prior, express, and informed authorization unless a legal exception applies. Optional marketing, non-essential cookies, and precise device location are requested separately when consent is required. You may withdraw consent prospectively at any time, without affecting processing already lawfully completed.
N°/06

6. When We Disclose Personal Data

We disclose only the data reasonably needed for the stated purpose to: venues and authorized venue staff that provide or administer a requested service; payment processors such as Stripe, Wompi, or another processor shown at checkout; authentication, identity-verification, cloud hosting, storage, security, messaging, email, customer-support, maps, analytics, and moderation providers; Metegol LLC and METEGOL S.A.S. as affiliated operating entities; accountants, auditors, insurers, banks, and legal or other professional advisers; regulators, courts, law enforcement, tax authorities, or other authorities when disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety; and parties to a financing, reorganization, merger, acquisition, or transfer of business assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards. When service providers process data on our behalf, they are authorized only for contracted purposes and are required to provide protections consistent with this Policy and applicable law. METEGOL does not sell personal data.
N°/07

7. Payment Data

Stripe, Wompi, or another identified payment processor collects payment credentials through its own secure fields or interfaces. METEGOL does not collect or store your full payment-card number or card security code. We receive transaction references and operational information such as the amount, currency, payment method type, authorization or settlement status, limited card descriptors where provided, refund status, and dispute status. Payment processors handle this data under their own privacy notices and legal obligations.
N°/08

8. International and Cross-Border Transfers

METEGOL operates across the United States and Colombia and uses providers that may process data in other countries. Personal data may therefore be transferred to Metegol LLC, METEGOL S.A.S., or service providers outside the country where it was collected. We use contractual, organizational, technical, and other safeguards required by applicable law. For data governed by Colombia law, transfers and transmissions are handled under Law 1581 of 2012, its implementing rules, applicable exceptions, authorizations, and data-processing agreements.
N°/09

9. Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected and as required or permitted by law. Criteria include whether your account remains active; whether a booking, payment, refund, dispute, support matter, investigation, or legal claim remains open; venue, tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and regulatory recordkeeping periods; security needs; limitation periods; and backup cycles. When data is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it. Deleting an account does not require deletion of transaction, safety, fraud-prevention, or legal-compliance records that we must or may lawfully retain.
N°/10

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal data, including access controls, authentication safeguards, encryption in transit where supported, logging, provider review, backup controls, incident response, and personnel confidentiality duties. No internet, device, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. Protect your credentials and verification codes and notify support@metegol.app promptly if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
N°/11

11. Cookies, SDKs, and Analytics

Our websites and apps may use cookies, local storage, software development kits, and similar technologies for authentication, security, language and session settings, service operation, diagnostics, and analytics. Strictly necessary technologies support functions you request and cannot always be disabled without affecting the service. Non-essential analytics technologies are activated only after consent where required. You may reject non-essential cookies through the consent banner when presented and may also use browser or device controls. Disabling a technology may limit related functionality.
N°/12

12. United States State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and whether a law applies to METEGOL, you may have rights to confirm processing; access, correct, or delete personal data; obtain a portable copy; opt out of a sale, targeted advertising, certain sharing, or qualifying profiling; limit or withdraw consent for sensitive data; appeal a denied request; and receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising a right. METEGOL does not sell personal data. Some rights and exceptions differ by state, and we may need to verify identity, residence, and authority before acting.
N°/13

13. Colombia Privacy Rights

If Colombia law applies, you may know, access, update, and correct personal data; request proof of authorization where legally required; ask how data has been used; submit questions and complaints; revoke authorization or request deletion when legally available; and access personal data free of charge under applicable rules. You may submit a complaint to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio after completing the applicable consultation or complaint process with the controller or processor, when required. METEGOL S.A.S. responds subject to Law 1581 of 2012 and related rules, including lawful retention and processing exceptions.
N°/14

14. Privacy Requests, Account Deletion, and Export

To exercise a privacy right, request an account deletion, request an available data export, withdraw consent, or appeal a privacy decision, email support@metegol.app. State the right you wish to exercise, your country and state or department of residence, the account email or phone number, and enough detail to locate the relevant data. Do not email payment-card details or passwords. We may request proportionate information to verify identity and authority. An authorized agent may submit a request where applicable law permits it, subject to verification. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any lawful denial or extension.
N°/15

15. Adults Only

METEGOL accounts and services are intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly offer accounts to or intentionally collect personal data from children or minors through the service. If you believe a person under 18 provided personal data, contact support@metegol.app so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
N°/16

16. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, security, operational, or service changes. The effective date and version will appear on this page.
